Atlanta: Georgia Festival of Trees

As a child my mom would take me to the Georgia Festival of Trees every holiday season. Georgia Festival of Trees quickly became a holiday tradition with us. She still to this day places an ornament I made there on the Christmas Tree every year.

This year’s festival will be here for eight magical days and is great way to get into the holiday spirit. The event offers a Lego building area, play area, and cookie decorating activities children. While adults get to be inspired by the amazingly decorated Christmas trees. They are so many that you will find it hard to just pick one as a favorite.

Another beautiful area was the gingerbread town. Where participants created some outstanding gingerbread houses, barns, and even a replica of the Atlanta United soccer complex.

While there, I participated in the scavenger hunt for the 12 plush snowmen hidden through out the festival. Hint: check the stores, check everywhere. These little snowmen were hard to find. There is a main stage area as well. Here you can enjoy live Christmas entertainment.

I had a great time being a kid and looking at the creativity of all the decorations. The trees inspired me with ideas of my tree but I couldn’t leave with out saying hi to Santa. I had to let him know my Christmas wish and take a photo.
