This month for book recommendations I am featuring my friend Gracelyn. She is an avid reader who is constantly looking for good book to read. This month she recommended the following:
Seven Days In June by Tia Williams
Romance
Review:
A Black love story that’s not your “Basic” read. Eva’s a lowkey famous exotic writer that carries many masks for the sake of normalcy. When she runs into an old flame which triggers unresolved trauma and an unforgettable love. Lowkey a story of trauma bonding but it’s so good. Worth the Read!

How to Get Over A Boy by Childers Eggerue
Self Help
Dating for Black Women can be hard due to the daily discrimination, patriarchy, and SOOO ON. Chidera focuses on self love, Attament styles, trauma and awareness! Finding love isn’t the end all be all but finding love for yourself is the ultimate achievement.
This book is a Gem! Finding love is just a bonus… I think we feel that we must find love to be “complete” and really it’s all systematic lies. Let me not rant.

Then She Vanishes by Claire Douglas
Mystery
Twisted Mystery that begins in the summer of 1994. Sixteen year old Flora Powell goes missing and her family is shattered. Twenty-five years later tragedy strikes again. Flora’s sister Heather is being accused of double homicide. This book truly is a disturbing tale that keeps your mind wondering “whooo tf and why tf”.
This is honestly my first mystery novel and it didn’t disappoint. I thought everyone was a suspect and the ending really messed me up! Very chilling mystery on what happened to Flora the summer of 1994.
