The Queen’s Ball has finally arrive to Atlanta!
Bridgerton has become a phenomenon on Netflix, as viewers have binge watched the show at extraordinary numbers. The fanfare has grown, as well as the books sales as this is a book adapted TV show. As a reader of the books and of the show I was thrilled when they announce The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience was coming to Atlanta.
I was able to attend The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience opening weekend and was impressed. So pull out your prom dresses or buy something new and prepare to have a great time!
The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience is located at Pullman yard where previously Van Gogh The Immersive Experience was located. Hosted by Fever there are two types of tickets, General Admission and VIP. Both provide entry to the ball, while VIP includes early entry, a welcome glass of champagne, 20% discount on selected merchandise. VIP will also have access to the exclusive VIP Area during the Ballroom sequence.
The Experience
I attended on a general admission ticket and while they express that you should arrive 30 minutes early, you will not gain entrance until your ticketed time. But arriving early is important if you want to do all photo ops. VIPs are allowed in approximately 10-15 minutes before the ticketed time.
The entire experience lasts exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once the experience is over you will be quickly prompted to exit. Make sure to purchase any merchandise during the allotted time. As there are several experiences on any given day, they need time to clean and set up between each.
The experience is full of photo ops and live entertainment. I was overwhelmed at times as there were multiple things going on at once. This can hinder the experience but overall it was still wonderful. I came to the conclusion that if the live entertainment is what you are there to see then stick to that, but if you want the photos please prepare to stand in lines. This may cause you to miss some of the live entertainment.
About 90% of those attending were dressed up including the gentlemen. While mostly those attending The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience were ladies there were several gentlemen in attendance. They were equally invested in their attire.
Here are few things I wish I knew before I attended (updated 7/25/22):
- Drinks purchased outside the venue are not allowed in. Yes, even though you purchased them on property while waiting in line. You need to drink them up before entering or toss them in the trash.
- Arrive Early! Although you may not enter until the ticketed time, being in the front of the line helps with the photo ops. I was able to have my picture taken at the Queen’s Chair before she arrived and before it was roped off.
- No FLASH photography or Professional cameras. So cell phones it is!
- Someone will assist in taking photos. This helps to keep the photo ops lines moving but you may not get that perfect shot!
- Three main photo ops. The Queen’s Chair, Raindrops and Artsy Portrait. There are several smaller photos ops throughout, such as the Storefront Windows and Doorways.
- The three main photo ops have queue lines that may become entangled with the bars. Make sure you know what line you are standing in.
- Restrooms are located outside. From what I could gather they were the Luxury Portable Toilets trailers.
- Wear comfortable shoes. If your dress is long enough no one will see your shoes anyways. FYI: The only seats are in VIP.
- Bring a hand fan. Though the building is air condition, with the lighting and body heat it can get warm.
- Card Only – from the bar to merchandise every purchase is cashless.
- Two bars and Two Merchandise Stands are located within the experience. One on either side of the venue. Here’s bar the menu:
- The Queen arrives about 15-20 minutes into the experience. If you are not early it may take that long to get inside and you will miss her highness grand entrance.
- DRESSING UP If you need something to wear, Rent the Runway provides a 25% discount once your tickets are purchased. Any dress will do honestly. It’s just depends on how fancy you want to be. Dressing up is not mandatory.
- Parking is $21 for 3 hours.
- Age requirement: 16+. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or older).
