I scream, you scream, we all scream for Museum of Ice Cream!! Is that too cliché? Well if it is, sue me. I was unsure of what I was walking into when we decided to visit the Museum of Ice Cream in Chicago. I knew from the website and instagram that there were several photo opportunities. Outside of that, I just saw the word Ice Cream and had to go.
While visiting Chicago we decided to participated in several tourist attraction. From the Navy Pier to the Color Factory. And all were a blast!
Upon arriving, prepare yourself for ice cream, photo ops, a ride on the pink Sprink-L line, Putt-Putt course and carnival games. If you are willing to jump in and take a dip in a pool filled with millions of sprinkles, I say go for it!
With a fun “ride” on the pink Sprink-L line, we received our first treat. It was a Dove ice cream treat! We ordered mixed drinks in the ice cream parlor. While chatting away and munching on ice cream. You are also allowed to carry ice cream and drinks throughout.
In the parlor we tried the Pinktini and the Strawberry Margarita, both were delicious. Our second drink was the Magical Sour Pop and that was really tart. The ice cream parlor offers additional ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and cocktails for an additional cost. We then explored the rest of museum and had a great time taking photos and receiving more treats. The treats included not only ice cream but a snoball and ice cream that tasted like a hot dog.
What’s included?
Included is UNLIMITED ice cream and 14 amazing installations. There is no time limit and the museum is self paced. If you must move forward never backwards throughout the rooms.
The Museum of Ice Cream is located on the side of the Tribune Tower in a wonderful shade of pink. Tickets are available in thirty minutes intervals and must be purchased online. I recommend purchasing tickets online before arriving, that way you know what times are available.
An additional expericene is available but it was sold out during our visit. Ice Cream Lab for $25/guest. You become a certified Scoop Master. It is a class were Scoop Professors spread knowledge about the science behind ice cream!
